Groundwater Management Unit: Unincorporated Area - Hamilton

Introduction

The Hamilton sub-basin is a Tertiary basin situated in the western margin of the Great Artesian Basin. It is located between the Alberga River and Hamilton Creek. The area is supports stock and pastoral activities. Approximately thirty five bores, with yields ranging from 1 -2 L/s, have been drilled into the sub-basin with only ten currently operational.
