Assessment Of River Condition
The Keep River Basin is a northern catchment in the Kimberly which is partly located in the Northern Territory with a tropical monsoon climate. It has natural vegetation savanna woodland and tidal mudflats. Land use includes cattle grazing on pastoral leases and some lead mining.
The Keep River (WA, 81007) Basin (810) ARCE was largely unmodified and the ARCB was non-assessed. The basin condition was largely unmodified based on the hydrological disturbance index, moderately modified based on the catchment disturbance index, largely unmodified based on the habitat index and non-assessed by the nutrient and suspended load index.
