Water level in the alluvial aquifers showed a rising trend from the early 1970s until the mid 1990s. when a reversal to a slightly declining trend occurred (eg bore 30206). High yield pumping became prevalent at about the same time as the trend reversal, and has emphasised the declining trend (eg Bore 30214).
